Pioneering bathroom and inwall television manufacturer, Aquavision, will be exhibiting their latest range of televisions for the hospitality industry at the Hotel Show Dubai in September. As the originator of bathroom televisions, the company boasts an enviable list of top hotels which have installed their products.
On show on the Audiocom stand (7A280) will be the Tailored Collection – off-the-shelf MirrorVision+® televisions from the Bespoke Range which features an invisible television in perfectly reflective mirror. The developers at Aquavision have taken the three most popular sizes of MirrorVision+® glass from their Bespoke range that have been requested over the last three years and made them available in this collection.
A 16” or 22” LCD Aquavision television is hidden behind the patented glass that achieves a perfect balance between the conventional, 100% reflective “silver” mirror and the minimally reflective glass normally required for television viewing. There are absolutely no visible signs of the television when it is turned off and it displays a clear, bright picture when it is switched on. It even works in high ambient light environments. As with all Aquavision televisions, they are fully waterproof to IP66 and are manufactured with forward projection heated screens to avoid misting up, enabling them to be installed in bathrooms, showers and wet rooms.
Customers can choose which Aquavision television module is hidden behind the mirror. This can be from the entry level Genesis, to the sophisticated Pinnacle featuring discrete IR commands and RS232 along with Android KitKat Smart TV. They can even choose the latest IP Controlled Nexus+ television that was launched earlier this year. All of the televisions integrate fully with hotel IPTV systems and are approved for connection to all leading brands
The MirrorVision+® glass comes in three sizes 833mm x 550mm, 1028mm x 670mm or 1300mm x 815mm – these can be portrait or landscape. Aquavision developed their MirrorVision+® glass as it is not possible to view a television image through a standard, full-chromed mirror. When the television is switched off, the whole surface area of the glass has the same mirror appearance and there is absolutely no sign of the television beneath. When the television is switched on, the area in front of the screen becomes opaque. The Aquavision television is attached to the glass using a mounting bezel bonded to the back of the glass.
In addition to the Tailored Collection, the Genesis and Nexus ranges will be on show featuring FreeView HD, FreeSat HD, HDMI inputs, Scart, Component and a built-in amplifier. These models are available in five sizes ranging from 16” to 42” and come in a choice of style ie Classic or Frameless and with a choice of glass – MirrorVision, Polar White, Black or MirrorVision+. In fact as all the televisions are manufactured in the UK by hand, the company is able to offer the widest range of sizes, styles and features of any waterproof, in wall or bathroom television manufacturer – over 150,000 combinations.
Aquavision televisions have been specified and installed around the world in most luxury hotel groups including Hilton Group, Firmdale Hotels, Radisson Hotels, Q Hotels, Van der Valk Hotels, Exclusive Hotels, Buddha Bar Hotels, Belmond Hotels, The Address Hotel and countless independent boutique hotels.
Alastair Benn, managing director of Aquavision, will be on the Audiocom stand no (7A280) and is looking forward to meeting old and new customers at the show.
